Portland, Oregon

Welcome the Rain! is a celebration of the joys of our rainy season as well as a "solutions fair" showing ways to solve some of the challenges rainwater brings to the urban environment. Come learn about the many ways you can utilize this gift that falls from the sky.

There will be a number of free workshops covering topics such as: downspout disconnection, raingardens, Naturescaping, porous pavement, bike commuting in the rain, eco-roofs and others running throughout the day. Visit the website listed below for a schedule.

The "Art of Stormwater" photo exhibit will be on display throughout the
venue for you to peruse all through the day. Come see how artists,
architects, landscape architects and designers use rain as the guiding element in their work. These pieces reconnect us with the natural flow of stormwater through our landscape, making Portland more livable, vibrant and environmentally friendly.

Metro's mobile native plant trailer will be on-site and local nurseries will be selling plants for naturescapes, rain gardens, and eco-roofs.
