The City of Lakewood Celebrates 25th Anniversary of
Bear Creek Lake Park

Join the City of Lakewood and the Regional Parks division in celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Bear Creek Lake Park July 21 through 26, 2008. The week-long celebration will highlight the fun features and programs offered year round at the park.
With more than 2,600 acres, 3 lakes for boating, swimming and fishing, over 15 miles of hiking, biking and horse trails plus a variety of picnic and camping facilities, the park offers something for just about everyone. Improvements to the park over the winter include the installation of electricity at additional campsites and a new dumping facility for recreational vehicles.
Bear Creek Lake Park, located at Morrison Road and C-470, presents nearby urban residents with an opportunity to get a close up view of nature only minutes from their front door. Despite its close proximity to the metropolitan area, the park is home to an array of wildlife, including birds of prey, coyotes, prairie dogs, fox, and deer.
