This two hour session is aimed at introducing you to the world of user centered design and its importance in helping you design a better mobile product. User centered design puts your customers at the heart of your product design and development process.

OpenRoad will provide an overview on best practices for mobile user interface design, introduce established mobile design standards, and highlight key design considerations for different mobile platforms. The session will include a basic introduction to human factors principles that helped to formulate these guidelines and best practices. The session will end with a tour of the Wavefront usability testing lab with the opportunity to receive a quick assessment of your mobile app/site, so remember to load onto your phone. You’ll find out why usability testing is important, when to do it, and what to do with the results.
