Watershed Opera presents: Opera and Science March 31, 2011

Wallingford’s Chapel Space at the Good Shepard Center transforms into a Salon, where intellectuals and artists of all ages meet to explore acoustical science and opera.

Experience “surround sound” as world-class opera singers surround the audience to demonstrate how opera sound waves feel. Try out the Harmonic Scalpel, which runs on sound waves, during the interactive, hands-on demonstration.

Critically acclaimed Dramatic Soprano, Jane Schvick, and tenor, Juan Carlos Flores, from New York City are flying in just for this event. Soprano, Jordan Corbin Wentworth takes her voice, and the audience, into the stratosphere. Adrian Oh, Korean baritone, and San Francisco mezzo, Jordan McClellan join select local singers in this all-star cast.
