Walthamstow Armed Forces Day June 22, 2009

Come along to the events at the Town Hall organised by the Council, Royal British Legion and Deputy Lieutenant Major Jeremy Fern.

A flag-raising ceremony will be held on Monday, 22 June 2009 at 10.30 am. Mayor Cllr Anna Mbachu and the Deputy Lieutenant Major Jeremy Fern will lead the event and the special Armed Forces Day flag will be raised on the flagpole outside the Walthamstow Assembly Hall.

Both events will necessitate the closure of the gates of the Town Hall complex to vehicles for the duration of the event. Farnham Avenue will provide road access to and from the complex between these times. The Town Hall building will be accessible throughout.
