Ulster Place, Regent's Park
London, England

On Sunday 21st May in Regent's Park, the World Food Programme is arranging a global event, 'Walk the World', to raise awareness about child hunger. Walk the World involves a chain of walks in all 24 time zones, stretching from New Zealand to Hawaii. The London link in this chain will be a 5 km walk, starting at the Cumberland Green at 11 am: all are welcome and entry is free. Sponsorship and fundraising are encouraged, but are not a requirement.

As well as the walk, there will be entertainment from African drummers and dancers, an exhibition of art work by children from local primary schools, a 'Tango in the Park' dance event, a kung-fu demonstration, live jazz, and a picnic. Everyone will bring their own food, but there will also be complimentary refreshments from Millie's Cookies, Innocent smoothies, M&S, Red Bull and the organic store Fresh&Wild.
