Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett

On a deserted road, in a vast wasteland, two men wait for someone named Godot.

Will Godot ever appear? Who is he? Why are they waiting? What does it matter? In Samuel Beckett’s most magical and absurdly funny allegory, the action is all in the passing of time. Waiting for Godot has been translated into more than 20 languages and performed across the globe for over 50 years. Predating Seinfeld, critics labeled it “a strange little play in which nothing happens”, yet it is considered one of the most prominent theatrical works of the 20th century.
