THE PHAMALY WORKSHOP SERIES PRESENTS

VOX PHAMALIA: RE-DUX
Directed by Edith Weiss

VOX PHAMALIA: RE-DUX (VPR-D) is the latest in PHAMALY’s Fall Studio Series. VPR-D is an original show written by the members of the 2009 PHAMALY Writing Workshop, and is a unique and honest look at living with disabilities by the people who do. Built on the success of PHAMALY’s 2008 studio presentation of “VOX PHAMALIA: Tales from the Crips,” this year’s offering is the culmination of a 12 week sketch/improvisational comedy and dramatic workshop series led by well known Colorado Director/Playwright Edith Weiss. Written and performed by: Laura Alsum, Briana Berthiaume, Tara Cowan, Don Gabenski, Donna Gunnison, Stephen Hahn, Regan Linton, Amber Marsh, Lucy Roucis, Edith Weiss (director/writer) and David Wright.

VOX PHAMALIA Studio Series is the result of an annual writing-to-performing development workshop, designed for PHAMALY members to explore the process of writing an original piece, having it selected and taken to performance. The theatrical devices of improvisation, sketch comedy, dramatic story telling and music will all be used in the workshop process. Select scenes that have been further developed and refined from “Vox PHAMALIA: Tales from the Crips” will also be included in this year’s show.
