Volunteering for Young Professionals: Painting Project February 27, 2010

Help us help the Arc of Somerset County! Our mission will be to paint affordable apartments for the Arc. They will do the prep work (aka remove stuff from the walls, cover furniture, etc) to help us get started but we are in charge of the rest. After this 4 hour painting project everyone is encouraged to meet up over drinks and dinner to celebrate a job well done!

Supplies:
The Arc will have plenty of brushes/rollers/trays/etc on hand.
We (the volunteers) need to supply the paint, tape, and drop clothes.
Please bring $10 to contribute toward these supplies (ask their staff for a receipt if you need one).
Wear clothes that you can get paint on and leave valuables at home.

Deposits:
Because they are relying on us we are asking that all volunteers put down a FULLY REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $7.88. The $7.88 will be returned to all who attend the event. Cancellations will be accepted up until noon on the day before the volunteering event if you email [email protected]

How to Find Us:
Let staff know you are volunteering with NJYP. We may be the only volunteers scheduled for that day.

Directions/Parking:
The apartments are located on the corner of Union Ave and Finderne.
There is parking, but it is limited so the ARC encourages you to carpool.
If there are no spots in the parking lot, you can park in the grass around the parking lot.
