9300 SW 79th Avenue
Miami, Florida

With the kind assistance of Kenwood principal Mrs. Perez and Dr. McGraw of Killian High School, we have a BIG workday planned for this Saturday, Feb. 17th, from 9 am to noon. Approximately 60 students from Killian's National Honor Society and Science Honor Society will be tending to the Hammock, performing the following:
* collecting air potatoes in the cypresses
* pulling vines along the north face of the hammock
* clearing paths and weeding along the hammock's south edge

We are VERY pleased to have so much volunteer help. But we are GREATLY in need of adult assistance in guiding the youthful energy of our volunteers. I am seeking ten adults to help with the workday, who could show up at 8:30 and stay a bit after noon as well. If you are an experienced hammock volunteer, all the better, but any adult who'd like to help lead a group of six students will be welcomed.

The school is at 9300 SW 79th Avenue, and the Hammock is at the north end of the campus, near the school board offices.

Please RSVP for this service as soon as you can. I look forward to seeing you there! It should be a great day at the Hammock!
