Help somone get a GED, read, or learn English!
The DC Public Library in partnership with DC LEARNs will be hosting an Adult Literacy Volunteer Fair at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library on September 14th from 6:30pm-8pm. The fair will be an information session that will help you learn more about adult literacy, meet representatives from adult literacy programs, and get matched with a program that you think is a good fit. The volunteer opportunities that these programs offer include helping someone to read, study for their GED or high school diploma, or learn English. If you are interested in attending the fair and/or for more information, please call Ben Merrion, Literacy Outreach Specialist, at (202) 727-2431.
