“Voice of the Victims: Challenges of an Integrated History of the Holocaust”
Saul Friedländer will deliver the 46th Annual Simon Rawidowicz Memorial Lecture entitled, “Voice of the Victims: Challenges of an Integrated History of the Holocaust.” A professor of history at UCLA and a professor emeritus at Tel Aviv University, Friedländer has written many critically acclaimed studies of Nazi Germany and World War II, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning, The Years of Extermination: Nazi Germany and the Jews, 1939-1945. A Holocaust survivor himself, Friedländer wrote about his childhood in German-occupied France in an extraordinary memoir entitled, When Memory Comes. The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Rapaporte Treasure Hall, located at Brandeis University, 415 South St., Waltham, Mass. Admission is free.
