On Sunday, May 31st, Peninsula Volunteers Inc. will sponsor a free half-day seminar at Little House, The Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center. World-renowned author and longevity and healthy aging expert Dr. Walter M. Bortz II, who helped Peninsula Volunteers define its mission for seniors, will be the keynote speaker at the event titled "Vital Aging: Achieving Your Best Life".

Community experts in the fields of memory, technology, transportation and crimes against older adults will lead afternoon seminars. Speakers include Dr. J. Wesson Ashford on memory, Susan Ayers Walker on technology, and Ruth Anne Bortz on fitness and nutrition. Representatives from the Department of Motor Vehicles, Metropolitan Transit Commission, Silver Rides, Family Service Agency of San Mateo County, The Legal Aid Society, the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs and the Menlo Park Police Department will participate in panel discussions.

The event will conclude with an ice cream social and cake. Seating is limited and pre-registration is recommended. Little House is located at 800 Middle Ave. in Menlo Park.
