Visit our Ancestors Community Tour: Mesquite Historic District January 9, 2010

Las Cruces, NM –The Branigan Cultural Center series, “Visit Our Ancestors Cemetery Tours,” has expanded to include neighborhoods and communities and has been renamed “Visit Our Ancestors Community Tours.” The programs are offered the second Saturday of every other month. Staff and guest speakers will lead participants to various locations around Las Cruces and surrounding areas to places of historical interest.

Join staff, volunteers, and representatives from Las Esperanzas for a walking tour of Las Cruces’ oldest neighborhood, Mesquite Historic District, on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Those interested in joining the tour should meet at 10 a.m. at Klein Park. The program is free and no registration is required. Participants should plan for a two hour walk and wear sturdy walking shoes.

The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. All programs are free and open to the public.
