Learn a New Skill and Build a More Literate Community

Take up something new this Spring - become a literacy volunteer! Vision Literacy, a nationally accredited adult literacy and ESL program, is hosting an orientation session for prospective volunteers on Saturday, April 28, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sobrato Center for Non-Profits, 600 Valley Way, Milpitas, CA.

The session will provide an overview of our organization and the adult learners we work with, as well as describe the various volunteer opportunities available - everything from tutor to social media guru to assessment specialist to fundraiser to administrative intern and more. If you have a particular skill or talent you wish to share and/or develop, we want to talk with you!

Those attending the orientation session will receive information about our online training and will be eligible to help with this year's Literacy Boot Camps in Gilroy, ESL Class in Sunnyvale, or work with learners elsewhere in Santa Clara County who are currently on our waiting list.

To reserve an orientation packet, please call Vision Literacy at 408-676-7323 or send an email to [email protected].

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Whistling in the Dark

Thanks for posting this. I was bummed about not getting tickets to the Northsix show.
