It's a true flea market from way back when, Mickey Meulenbeek says. Meulenbeek is talking about the Thieves Market in the Town of Cave Creek ( http://www.cavecreekthievesmarket.com/ ). It's a place where shoppers can find all kinds of bargains the first Saturday of every month. It's western, bohemian, hippy-dippy, Meulenbeek says. It's all of those things mixed into one. Meulenbeek, who is one of the market's organizers, said there is a mixture of vendors selling things like clothes, jewelry, gourmet dog biscuits and let's not forget about those garage sale items. We have a lot of people in town and retailers that join us on a regular basis to promote their stores and to hand out coupons and use this as a marketing tool, Meulenbeek continues. But besides walking away with a steal at the Thieves Market, it's about having fun and getting to know others living in your community. I think it's something everyone in town enjoys and understands and sends friends and relatives and visitors to, Meulenbeek says.
