Concertmaster of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra since 2002, Bulgarian-born violinist Vesselin Gellev has appeared as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, Canada and the US. As violinist of the award-winning chamber group Antares, Mr.Gellev has performed at many major US venues such as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie-Weill Hall, as well as in Panama, Canada, Japan and Brazil.
The quartet's debut CD recording "Eclipse" was released to critical acclaim in the spring of 2005 on the Innova label. Mr. Gellev is also
concertmaster of Grammy-nominated Absolute Ensemble, a "classical band" dedicated to the breakdown of musical barriers and categorization. Mr. Gellev holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The Juilliard School, where he was a student of Stephen Clapp and Robert Mann. In 2005, Mr. Gellev was appointed to the violin faculty at Cornell University.



Cellist Jane O'Hara has performed in venues throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the United States. She was recently presented in her New York Debut Recital at Weill Hall. She was the Performing Arts Foundation Artist-in-Residence at International House, New York, for the 2004-2005 season. An avid chamber musician, Jane has performed regularly at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival and at numerous festivals in the UK. Recent performances in New York have been at Weill Recital Hall, New York Historical Society, Deutsche Verein, French Consulate, Oyster Bay Beethoven Festival, Lincoln Center's Merkin Hall, Columbia University's Miller Theater and at Barge Music in Brooklyn. In September 2004, she was selected to participate in Carnegie Hall's Tradition and Innovation workshop with Yo Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, which culminated in five performances at Ozawa Hall, Tanglewood, and Carnegie's Zankel Hall. She plays regularly with the Knights String Orchestra and the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra.
Jane studied on scholarship with Timothy Eddy at Mannes College of Music, New York, receiving her Masters degree in 2005. Earlier studies were with William Butt at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Hannah Roberts at the Royal Northern College of Music.



Polish pianist Magdalena Baczewska has been a winner of several piano competitions, including the International Chopin Competition and the Paderewski Competition, both in Poland, and the International Chopin Competition at the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City. In 2000, she received the highest distinction at the Festival Conservatoire Americaine in Fontainebleau, France. In the Summer of 2004, Ms. Baczewska has been awarded Mention Excellent in Piano from the European American Musical Alliance Summer Music Program in Paris, France. She has appeared frequently in solo recitals, as well as with orchestras and in radio broadcasts throughout Europe and the United States. Ms. Baczewska is a graduate of the Mannes College of Music, where she received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, studying with Jerome Rose. Currently, she is a Doctor of Musical Arts degree candidate at the Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Constance Keene. She serves as an adjunct faculty at the Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. This Summer, Ms. Baczewska has been invited to teach at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City. She is also active as a music critic. Her reviews have been published in the New York Concert Review.
