Hot on the heels of a string of successful summertime shows, San Francisco's ArtNow SF returns again in October with VENI VIDI VICI, an eclectic evening of electronics and art. VVV is the epic teaming of futuristic style. Through an integrated approach that shines by showcasing a stylish amalgamation of art, fashion and music, ArtNow's parties have become an artistic and creative force here in San Francisco and beyond. Along with Suite Jesus at 111 Minna Gallery and 2'sDays at Double Dutch, this has become one of the most relevant, ongoing artistic events San Francisco has seen in some time.
VENI VIDI VICI hits Club Six with one of its finest line ups to date. Coming together at what's recently been coined the "Best Hip Hop Club" in SF are a myriad of show-stoppers ; including Khari Kill, Elliot Lipp and Pnuma PA, alongside some of the Bay Area's finest artists, including Teruo Artistry, Timothy Watters and Jody Wells. Undoubtedly Lipp's analog-based, electro funk mastery of colliding drum sequencers and synthesizer riffs will provide just one of the night's musical highlights. Along with Khari Kill comes songs of righteousness, a modern powerhouse in the reggae world; a man who adeptly takes on evil in his songs, all the while making bodies move with each pulsating rhythm. Pnuma PA arrives offering slivers of drum n' bass, break beats and down tempo to VVV, supporting their new, critically heralded album, Character. Los Angeles' Far East Movement round out the bill, coming to town as a trio of fresh-faced Asian American MC's, capable of bring the party to that next level with slick precision and lyrical wit.
