Vancouver Singles Granville Island Craft Crawl May 15, 2010

Always amazed at what artist’s can create with their hands. Join Meet Market Adventures and other culture hungry singles for a walk-about tour of the galleries and studios of local the Granville Island artists. We will meet at the coffee shop to introduce ourselves and then we will be off on foot to discover the neat spaces and arts of this area.

The Granville Island Culture Crawl is an opportunity to see art and craft of British Columbia. It involves artists who work on Granville Island, participants include painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, musicians, weavers, potters, writers, printmakers, photographers, glassblowers; from emerging artists to those of international fame.

This is a unique opportunity to see artists in their natural studio environments; see how their art is born from an idea and is molded and sculpted into the final product, we will learn about their specific works of art, materials and tools, approaches and techniques and have a chance to ask questions and observe the process of making.

This day is about wandering about the neighbourhood to discover the artists and culture of this area. Looking for inspiration? Then this is the day for you!
