Van Django @ Vancouver Intl. Jazz Festival July 1, 2007

This exciting Vancouver quartet offers a very hip take on the swinging ’40s gypsy jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Violinist Cam Wilson is a longtime member of the acclaimed Celtic group Mad Pudding and the eclectic Vancouver-based group Joe Trio who have toured throughout North America. His witty arrangements have been performed by numerous symphony orchestras. Guitarist Budge Schachte performs with Tango Paradiso, Gypsalero, and many other notable Vancouver groups. With Finn Manniche guitar/cello and Laurence Mollerup bass.
