Valley Folk Music: Siren Song - The Johnson Girls March 2, 2013

with special guests: The Women's Chorale of 171 Cedar Arts - part of the Festival of Women. The Women's Chorale has prepared a short opening set of arrangements of traditional folk songs. Joy Bennett, Alison Kelley, Bonnie Milner, and Deirdre Murtha are renowned international performers of maritime music: powerful chanteys, hair-raising harmonies, lilting ballads and laments. Each member of The Johnson Girls brings a specialty and style to the ensemble which you will hear as they take turns leading the songs. Admission: $15 at the door only.
