Reading and book signing with Dagoberto Gilb, editor and contributing author of "Hecho en Tejas.” Featuring presentations and discussions by Macarena Hernandez, reporter for The Dallas Morning News, Tammy Gomez, poet, Tonantzin Canestaro-Garcia, poet and Benjamin Alire Saenz, poet and novelist. Free and open to the public.

“Hecho en Tejas - David Garza Live Performance,” noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, Library mall. Austin’s Acoustic Musician David Garza will perform. Free and open to the public.

"Hecho en Tejas - Mexican-American Authors Discussion,” 2 p.m. six floor parlor, Thursday, April 12, Central Library, 702 Planetarium Place. Mexican-American authors Carmen Tafolla, Christine Ganados, Political Science Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez and Rolando Hinojosa-Smith discuss their works.

“Hecho en Tejas - CMAS Distinguished Lecture,” 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 12, Carlisle Suite, E. H. Hereford University Center, 300 W. First St. Dr. Rolando Hinojosa-Smith from The University of Texas Austin will speak. A reception will follow. Free and open to the public.
