The Humans were formed in early 2010 at Edison High School. It all started with Paul being the original ukulele master, having one since the beginning of time. Then Davy received an uke for Christmas 2009. After seeing the joy these magical instruments can bring, Caleb decided to get an ukulele of his own. In addition to all having ukuleles, each member had one more common thread, the same debate/forensics class. It was a class in which they brought their ukuleles and could jam freely, but only under one condition: their final project must be to write and record an album. Instead of discouraging such creativity, their teacher, Ms. Kiggins, promoted their uniqueness and led to the formation of The Humans. For the next two months, 90 minutes of every other school day was devoted to playing covers or brainstorming song ideas in Edison's stairwells and courtyard, with exception to the times when they had substitutes who did not believe a teacher would allow such a thing. Little did they now, for now The Humans have become Northern Virginia's best Tragical-Comical-Historical-Pastoral-Ukulele-Folk-Rock Band. Currently, The Humans spend their time working on their album, entitled "An Album", which will be out in the summer of 2010. In addition, they perform on the streets of Old Town Alexandria, making friends with Canadians, bikers, and anybody who will listen. The Humans would like to thank all of their friends, family, fans/groupies, and of course Ms. Kiggins. We hope you enjoy, and feel free to search "The Humans" on facebook
