Urbantheater Company: Sonnets for an Old Century April 21, 2011

"Where do we go when we die?" If you were offered the chance to comment on the life you have lived, "What would you say?" These are the probing questions asked in 'Sonnets for an Old Century' by Obie Award winning playwright and Academy Award nominated screenwriter Jose Rivera. 'Sonnets for an Old Century' takes place in a waiting room for the afterlife and there we find a dreamscape filled with poignant, funny, lyrical and haunting monologues from recently deceased individuals. UrbanTheater Company will be presenting the Midwest premiere of 'Sonnets for an Old Century' by Jose Rivera, directed by Madrid St. Angelo in collaboration with Juan Casteneda, as part of Steppenwolf's 2nd annual Garage Rep in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre.
