Armley
Leeds, England LS12

Leeds' best 'picnic in the park'.

As part of 'Urban Picnic Week' Armley Common Rights Trust are organising a celebration in one of its best know and best loved parks.

There promises to be cakes for sale and musicians to entertain (though why not bring your own picnic, cakes and instruments).

Eating cakes in Charlie Cake Park, fabulous!

A number of parks, including Charlie Cake, have been donated to the people of Armley and are maintained by local volunteers. Volunteers will be working on one of the parks from 10.00 til 12.00 before the picnic. Interested in donating some time to maintain these local green spaces? Then why not come along.

If you interested in volunteering e-mail: [email protected]

Good luck I wish I could be there but I will be at York races ( a long standing commitment). If you need any help prior to the 16th I will be happy to do so in exchange for any tips for me to improve on last years visit to see the GGs
