Dr. Elizabeth Weiss is a professor of physical anthropology. Reburying the Past: the Effects of Repatriation and Reburial on Scientific Inquiry (2008), examines the study of human remains and how they have been obtained, the ethical dilemmas surrounding working with human remains, and the legal and political complexities of repatriation and reburial. Bioarchaeological Science:What We Have Learned from Human Skeletal Remains (2009), covers the study of human skeletal remains from archaeological sites to aid in reconstructing the biology and culture of past populations. Bioarchaeological Sciences is intended for the college student audience to help understand current research published in the top peer-reviewed journals.
