University of Salford Ensembles Concert April 17, 2013

Venue/Location: Peel Hall, University of Salford, M5 4WT

Performance students on the ensemble musicianship and performance programme have the chance to form their own smaller ensembles in order to experience ‘chamber’ work and its specialist orientation.

The ensembles are very much student led, but also benefit from the mentoring and guidance of University of Salford tutors Dr Robert Childs and Peter Christian. As part of the programme of study, we are pleased to say that this is the sixth year in which the ‘Anne Welsh Memorial Ensemble Prize’ has featured as part of this concert.

This concert allows the students to demonstrate their skills in this specialist field, and is contributory to the final award.
