United Through Reading Storybook Ball November 15, 2009

United Through Reading, a nonprofit that unites separated families including those serving in our Armed Forces, by offering parents the opportunity to be recorded on DVD reading storybooks to their children at home, will host the “Storybook Ball,” at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Starting at 5:30 p.m., On Sunday, November 15, guests will fete the organization’s 20th anniversary by enjoying a sumptuous meal, fine wine and music by Bunnell Strings, a quintet of five siblings known as the “Von Trapps” of the new millennium. A silent auction and live auction will also be held. Honorary Chair is acclaimed best-selling author James Patterson. The black tie event is sponsored by Target. Cost is $200 per person.
