Hello my name is Duane Denny, I have united to fight CMT with my company dennypromotions.com, the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation, and Team CMT. I am NOT making any profit from this event.
The People
Allison Moore
Moore, founded the HNF after learning of her sudden onset of CMT, which was brought on after she received a chemotherapy agent (Vincristine) that is toxic and contraindicated for people with CMT or for those with a family history of CMT. She has made a passionate commitment to changing things for people living with CMT.
Chris Wodke
As manager of Team CMT and in partnership with the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation, Chris intends to use this opportunity to raise awareness about CMT on a grander scale. “I want everyone with CMT to be able to say they have it and not get a blank stare,” she said. “We need to raise awareness because with awareness comes money, and treatments, and cures. I hope by raising awareness a physical therapy student wants to devise therapies to help and a medical student wants to research cures.”
Duane Denny
At 14 years old I broke my foot and it didn't heal right shortly after I was diagnosed with CMT. Duane has been doing events since he was 28 now at 36 he started a small business to help people with CMT Denny Promotions Unite 2 Fight is his 1event. Duane lost his ability to run at 26 and this past year has created a fitness plan and with determination and purpose he has regained the ability to run he plans to be certified nationally as a personal trainer in May.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), named after the three doctors who first identified it, is one of the most common inherited nerve disorders. CMT affects an estimated 1 in 2,500 people in the United States.
I have put together and event at John Harvard's Brew House in Cambridge Unite 2 Fight.

The event is to raise awareness and funds for research. The event is to also celebrate Chris Wodke qualifying and running in the Boston Marathon she will be running in the mobility impaired division. Chris has CMT and should be recognized as a role model for anyone that has faced the "You Can'ters" in life she is a true inspiration.
Unite 2 Fight will take place at John Harvard's in Cambridge on April 15 4-7pm The event will feature 3 to 5 comedians two guest speakers one of them being Chris Wodke. There will also be two raffles a silent auction with huge prizes. Free admission to the public because the number one concern is awareness. There are some many people with CMT that goes undiagnosed our goal is to find people and help them treat and one day find a cure for this disease. Please help anyway you can.
