Union Native Signs Second Children's Book: The Secret Magicks of Maine August 15, 2009

Matt Watier will sign copies of his second children’s book, The Secret Magicks of Maine at he Vose Library in Union, Maine from 10 to 11:30 AM. There will be a reading from the book by the author’s father, Roland Watier, who is a professional storyteller.

Matt Watier was born in Union, Maine and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, ME in 1997.
In 2001 Watier received his BA in Illustration and Design from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. His first published book ANTS: Another Nice Tasty Sweet, was published by Marhwood Press in both Hebrew and English.
Watier’s illustrations have won both online awards (on DeviantArt.com) and have been hung in various gallery shows throughout the East Coast, including the Maine Lobsterman Art Show in Penobscot Marine museum. Roland Watier is a professional storyteller who was born in Gardiner, Maine and is founder of the Golden Raven Storytelling Circle in Union, Maine. Roland provided the original story behind ANTS: Another Nice Tasty Sweet, and is a public speaker throughout the New England area.
