About Una De Luna:
Una De Luna united singer Marla Degenhardt (ex Cat Ballou and Electra Loves Daddy) with guitarist-keyboardist-producer Peter Guellard, who came to Pittsburgh from Poland in 1991 and fronted the local industrial band Mace, later touring nationally as keyboardist for the Electric Hellfire Club. He now works as a sound engineer at The Church Recording Studio in Overbrook.
Beginning as strictly a studio project at the local Church Recording Studio, Una de Luna has developed into a full-fledged live band. Now it's released its debut album, Conspiracy, a combination of tight trip-hop grooves, sinuous melodies, pop hooks and arena-sized choruses.
Overall, it's a polished and interesting collection of pop songs that fit together within a specific mood: In its combination of swank and sinister, Conspiracy comes across like an album of potential songs for the next James Bond film.
Una De Luna just landed few of their songs in movie and TV show soundtracks among them "The Night I Was Murdered" and 'Hillers".
