Please join us for an exhibition-workshop series presented by Spanish art critic and curator Manuel GarcĂ­a featuring cutting edge contemporary video art by 34 artists representing Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay and a Latin American community in New York.

Exploring diverse artistic expression in the forms of performance pieces, documentaries, music videos and oral histories the Ultramar series is arranged according to the themes of gender, urban phenomena and personal perspectives. Prior to each screening, the curator will give a brief history and explanation of the aesthetics and techniques of each video. Catalogs and additional material will be available to those interested.
