Using the idea of recycling and reuse as a springboard, Visual Aid artist Martin Freeman creates new work from old work by literally cutting up previously completed paintings and reassembling them into new compositions. The resulting pieces reveal the artist's love of vibrant color and pattern. His whimsical sculptures are also collaged together from disparate elements. Brightly colored plastic flowers, toys and utensils combine to form eccentric characters that the artist refers to affectionately as his babies. This exhibition is presented in community partnership with Under One Roof with support from MOMs Pharmacy.
