The Hula Honeys present a workshop for intermediate and advance players of all ages. Individuals should have some knowledge of basic chord progressions and stringed insturment mechanics.

Longtime friends Ginger Johnson and Robyn Kneubuhl make up Maui's own Hula Honeys.

The Hula Honeys are known primarily for performing the enchanting music from Hawaii's territorial days, songs that take you back to Boat Days and Waikiki's golden era, but as lifelong residents of the islands, they are also ambassadors representing Hawaii's vast artistic culture.

The workshop is scheduled at 8PM until 9:15PM in Room 402 of The Music Center at Strathmore.

Parking: Parking for ALL Ukefest 2010 Workshops is in the metro garage for $4.75 with Metro SmarTrip card. Parking for patrons with disabilities (with tag) and Strathmore Stars Parking (with Strathmore Summer Parking Pass) is in the Mansion lot on a space available basis; enter at 10701 Rockville Pike.

You can purchase your own ukulele locally at House of Musical Traditions: 7010 Westmoreland Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912; or call (301) 270-9090 or visit them on the web at www.hmtrad.com
