The Association for the Study of African-American Life and History has projected that Economic Empowerment Achievements of African American culture will be its yearlong national theme for Black History in 2010. The Old Dillard Museum has selected Ujamaa, the Kwanzaa principle of Cooperative Economic, Togetherness and Family, as its focus for celebrating the nation's theme. Through this exhibit, the talents, philosophies and skills that have helped African-American people to survive and grow in the Western Hemisphere will be showcased.
