“Ease on down the Yellow Brick Road” as Theater at Trinity presents a special celebration of songs from the classic movie The Wizard of Oz and the hit Broadway musical The Wiz on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM.

Acclaimed Broadway music and vocal director Chapman Roberts leads a cast that includes Ted Levy, the tap dancing wonder of Jelly’s Last Jam, Jacob Peacock, the Trinity Choristers, and others along with professional musicians Ray Naccari, William McDaniel, and Chulo Gatewood performing musical favorites such as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “If You Believe,” “Everybody Rejoice,” and more.

Special guest star Geoffrey Holder, actor, costume designer, and Tony award-winning director, will share his memories of magically transforming The Wizard of Oz into of the 1975 Broadway production of The Wiz, and how he introduced Dorothy and the world to a whole new land of Oz.
