Three great virtuosos from the worlds of jazz-rock and bluegrass come together to form a unique acoustic supergroup. Stanley Clarke became an electric-bass hero in the early 1970?s with the legendary jazz-rock fusion group Return to Forever, and Jean-Luc Ponty did the same with electric violin as a sideman with another hallowed fusion group, the Mahavishnu Orchestra. The acclaimed banjo picker Béla Fleck was influenced by both musicians? work but schooled in bluegrass. Expect to hear a tight, harmonic ensemble with plenty of standout solo work as well.
