Tribal Karaoke Stomp - A New Kind of Event, A New Kind of Experience March 1, 2007

First off, this event is totally free--no cover, and no drink requirement.

There's a new kind of event in town, a new experience, a new way of coming together with other people, and being part of the music at the same time.

It's called Tribal Karaoke. Here's how it works:

You show up at the venue, and instead of just listening to the music, you're part of making the music. Live musicians play the musical foundation, while everyone sings, some into microphones on the stage, some from the dance floor, while video projection of the words and musical structure keeps everybody in sync.

It's a tribal thing, a tribal stomp...it's tribal karaoke. When you get a hundred people singing in harmony and stomping around at the same time with live instruments, it's a sound like you've never heard before. It's totally great.

This time we're doing mostly songs from the 60's and 70's, with some Sinatra, Springsteen and Elvis Costello thrown in. You'll already know most of the songs, and if you don't, just dance and improvise.
