Trial by Laughter, The Comedy Soapbox and Next Round Entertainment present the final two comedy competitions at Comix on August 28th and September 25th. This monthly event includes seven comedians competing for the approval of fellow comedians, audience, and fans on the web, all while vying for cash prizes and media exposure.
Seven acts, known as "defendants," perform five minute sets. Defendants consist of comedians of all levels, from complete newbies to international headliners and are pre-screened by the producers to ensure that the audience gets the best show possible.
