Transit of Venus October 12, 2008

This play is about a love story that charts a celestial course between destiny and desire! In 1760, Madame Sylvie remain in her French country home while her son, astronomer Guillaume Le Gentil, sets out to observe the rarest of celestial sites: Venus passing between the Earth and Sun. She is abandoned along with Margot, her housekeeper and the young Celeste, his fiancee. Each time Guillaume returns, he discovers what used to be is no more. The lives of all three of these women change during his multi-year absences.
