Community Room
On one weekend last October, four Baltimore organizations helped more than 30 community, civic, and government leaders from along the proposed Red Line transit corridor form four groups and travel to Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, and Portland, Oregon to see light rail and bus rapid transit lines up close for themselves.

These "Transit Around the Nation" trips were sponsored by the Citizens Planning and Housing Association, the Baltimore Neighborhood Collaborative, the Greater Baltimore Committee, and the Neighborhood Design Center, and each trip included a videographer from the Megaphone Project.

Now we invite you to view the new 16-minute video of these memorable trips, followed by a discussion of the video and lessons for Baltimore's Red Line. The discussion will be moderated by Portland trip participant Senator Lisa Gladden, and will include other trip participants and MTA deputy planning director Tony Brown.

Please RSVP to me at [email protected] or 410-539-1369 x107. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and feel free to spread the word to others in the Red Line corridor about this event, which is free and open to the public. Copies of the DVD will be available. We hope you can join us
