Hop on board at Fullerton at 10:22 AM as the Central Coast Railway Club and the Pacific Locomotive Association present this annual historic train excursion to San Diego pulled by the famous steam locomotive 3751 which was used on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway since 1927. We will provide rooms in the Bristol Hotel, a premier boutique hotel in downtown San Diego. After checking in we will get a private walking tour of the historic Gaslamp Quarter. That will be followed by dinner at Chianti’s and a play at the Horton Grand
Theatre – The Rivalry, about the Lincoln-Douglas debates with groundbreaking confrontations that still have no equal in American statesmanship. On Sunday, the hotel will provide a $10 voucher for breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. We will take the Surfliner Amtrak train at 4 PM on Sunday, May 2 and arrive back in Fullerton by 6:15 PM. $275 /person All Inclusive. Based on double occupancy - $325 for singles. Trip includes hotel, trains, tours, dinner, theatre show, and breakfast voucher. No rate for children. This is an adult trip. Older children and students pay adult price. No discounts for seniors on this trip.
