Travel to Spain when you step into La Tasca during happy hour (4:00 – 7:00 PM) on June 20th and see a venenciador pouring sherry out of his venencia. A venencia is a long-handled ladle used by Spanish winemakers tasting their Sherry which allows samples of the wine to be drawn without disturbing the coating of flor. It is the traditional way to pour sherry in Spain but is not common in the US, making it an entertaining experience! Also enjoy complimentary Jamon (Serrano ham) carved right in front of you.
