Sue Palmer, a former primary head teacher is an independent writer, presenter and consultant on primary education, notably on literacy. She has written over 200 books, TV programs and software packages for children and teachers. She is a regular contributor to the Times Educational Supplement and other journals. Ms. Palmer is the author of Toxic Childhood: how modern life is damaging our children… and what we can do about it [Orion 2006] and Detoxing Childhood [Orion 2007].
