1634 University Blvd.NE Corner of University and Indian School
Albuquerque, New Mexico 87131

For more than three centuries, from about AD 1250 to 1577, this spectacular locale was home for over 1500 Pueblo Indians who built villages, farmed, and hunted game. The traditions of the people of the Pueblo of Santa Clara (located 10 miles east of Puye) state that their ancestors were the inhabitants of this area. They left when drought caused springs to dry up and crops to fail. UNM Continuing Education invites you to join us on two guided tours of the area, including the Cliff Trail, and the Mesa Top Trail. This one day trip departs from the UNM Continuing Education Building East parking lot on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 8am and will return at 6pm. The $82 tuition fee includes transportation and the guided tour. Lunch may be purchased on site. For more information visit dce.unm.edu/story-of-new-mexico.htm or call Joan Cok at 505-277-0563. To register visit dce.unm.edu.
