Take the Lorain Avenue Ethnic and Specialty Food Market Tour

Saturday, June 11th, 2005

A fundraiser to benefit Kamm?s Corners Development Corporation

Tour the many ethnic and specialty markets along Lorain Avenue from West 125th Street to Rocky River Drive in a luxury motor coach!

We have arranged for market owners to lead our guests on a short tour of their stores and to describe their specialties or unique aspects. They will provide free tastes and/or small giveaways. As a guest, you will receive a large shopping bag and will be given some time to shop at each market if you choose. You will also receive Discover Lorain Avenue brochures, Kamm?s Corners promotional info, and more. Between stops we will talk food, discuss restaurants we pass, and learn about the next destination.

As part of the package, the tour concludes with a meal at Oriental Palace, a new, 300-item buffet restaurant located at Warren Village. Inside, we will be seated together and we will all have a chance to talk about the neighborhood, and, of course, food. Guests may leave when they like.

Itinerary

The coach will pick up all guests behind Warren Village and transport them to the first stop (Mi Pueblo Restaurant & Market) on the eastern end of Lorain Avenue, continuing west and visiting nine markets at roughly 20-minute intervals with the last stop being K&K Portage Market back at Warren Village. We will then proceed next door to Oriental Palace for a meal. The first tour begins at 10 AM and arrives at Oriental Palace at 1 PM for lunch. The second tour begins at 2:30PM and arrives at Oriental Palace at 5:30 PM for dinner. Please tell us which tour time you prefer.

Tickets

The tour costs $40 per person and includes your meal. To reserve tickets, call Marilyn Osborne at 216-252-6559, ext.16, or send an email to [email protected]. Only 100 tickets will be sold!
