A Grammy-award winning performer of truly exceptional virtuosity and creativity, Diabaté is heralded as the ‘Malian Hendrix’. He is credited with bringing the Kora, a traditional West African bridge-harp-like instrument to audiences around the world.

He has worked with the blues band Taj Mahal; appears on several of Ali Farka Touré’s albums, was part of Damon Albarn’s ‘Mali Music’ project, features on Björk’s album Volta and of course performed with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra during Liverpool’s Capital Of Culture year.
