TorQ was formed in 2004 by four young, enthusiastic Toronto-area percussionists looking to add new energy to percussion repertoire and performance. Members Richard Burrows, Jamie Drake, Christa Mercey and Daniel Morphy perform repertoire ranging from sweetly lyrical mallet quartets to no-holds-barred, high energy percussive showpieces. In this concert, they will focus on percussion instruments from around the world highlighting the richness and diversity as well as the connectivity of the global rhythm.
