80 Gould Street
Toronto, Ontario

The March 2007 meeting will be held this coming Tuesday (March 6th) at 7PM. The location is the Rogers Communications Centre (Room RCC 359) at the corner of Church and Gould.

This month's presentation is titled "Space-Based Architecture and the End of Tier-Based Computing"

Owen Taylor will present a new application architecture model that combines Distributed Caching, SOA and Grid concepts into a single coherent architecture optimized for high-performance data-intensive applications. The result is an approach which transforms existing tier-based applications into linearly and dynamically scalable services.
Owen will also discuss a real-life example of a financial application that was built using the SBA, and he will explore the patterns used to achieve this goal and explore how it can be applied to other applications with similar requirements.
