Toronto Camping & Hiking Meetup Group

We will be hiking and exploring the caves along the high cliffs
on Georgian Bay while enjoying the breath taking scenery.

Day 1:

We will take off from Toronto 7:00 am heading north towards the
Bruce peninsula (4 hour drive). Just past the town of Wiarton
we will stop for a few hours to explore the Bruce's Caves
Conservation Area.
While we still have some sun light we will head up to The Bruce
Peninsula National Park where our Base camp will be. We will
start the camp fire and the BBQ's shall begin.

Day 2:

After breakfast we will hike from our base camp by Cyprus lake
to the Georgian Bay (less than an hour hike). There we will
spend the day exploring the shore line, caves and magnificent
scenery that is assured to impress anyone. Lunch will be
sandwiches and eaten while on the cliffs. Before sunset, we
shall return to the campsite for another evening by the
campfire.

Day 3:

We shall have breakfast, prepare our lunch (sandwiches) pack
our tents and leave the campsite heading back south (hopefully
by 10:00am). We shall stop at the Grieg's caves. We will enjoy
the breathtaking view of Georgian Bay as we walk along the
pathway on top of the caves. There are many rare and beautiful
flowers and ferns to see, and lots of tunnels and caverns to
explore.
There are12 natural limestone caves along a half mile trail 300
feet above Georgian Bay. ($6 addmission fee, not open during
rainy days). By 5:00 pm at the latest we shall head back home.
